Updates are on the way….

April 19th, 2010

We have submitted several updates to the app store, including:

  • v1.1 of the Internet Killed Television (CTFxC) app that includes a completely revised look and some awesome new content.
  • v1.7 of Unofficial iJustine which fixes the mobile blog view (which has not been functioning since she changed her blog from tastyblogsnack.com to ijustine.com).
  • A top secret app update that we know you’re going to love!

We’re pretty excited about all of these updates.  All will be immediately available to you once they are approved for release to the app store.  Check our “Developer Blog View” or our “More Apps” view in any of our apps and/or watch the app store for these exciting updates!

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, bug reports, feature suggestions – please do not hesitate to contact us using the “Contact Developer” button found on the About tab in any of our apps.

Unofficial iJ – Mobile Blog not working?

April 15th, 2010

We are aware that the mobile blog view is currently not working in our Unofficial iJ app.  Tonight, iJustine moved everything from tastyblogsnack.com to ijustine.com, so the mobile viewer can’t “see” the blog any longer.  We just prepared and submitted an update to the app store, so hopefully it will be approved and available to you soon.

In the meantime – you can use the full “Web” view located on the “More” tab to see her entire blog so you don’t miss a beat 😉

We want to hear from you!

April 14th, 2010

Since so many of you are now enjoying our apps, we would love to hear your feedback.  What new features would you like to see?  Who would you like to see an app created for?  Maybe you’d like to suggest channels to add to any of our “TV” apps?  What features in our apps could use improvement?  Have you found a bug that you’d like to share? What features in our apps are most useful to you?  In every app we have developed, there is an “About” or “Contact” feature that gives you a button to e-mail us directly…  Try it out!  Send us a mail!  We’d love to hear from you!

Gamer TV v1.0 Released to App Store

April 13th, 2010

We are happy to announce that on Monday, Gamer TV was released for sale in the app store.  This first version contains video feeds from over 90 popular gaming video sources to provide over 45,000 videos for the gaming fanatic.  Anything from app reviews to trailers for new games, this new app is sure to keep you entertained.

As with our other apps – each individual “channel” automatically loads all of the latest video from the source the moment it’s touched.  This means that you have access to the videos as soon as each content provider has uploaded them and they are published for viewing!

On top of this, there is a “Search” tab, which searches the entire gaming category on YouTube and returns the results relavent to your keyword from newest to oldest.  No more do you have to fumble with the iPhone’s built-in YouTube player and sift through hundreds of results to find the newest ones – we’ve done it for you.

Additionally, just like all of the other apps based on our Vlogger framework, you have the ability to log in with your YouTube account and rate/comment/subscribe and favorite any content you like so that it will automatically show up in your YouTube account when you return to your computer.

If you are already using one of our apps to read this post, simply navigate to the “More Apps” function and press the Gamer TV link to download.

If you are reading this post from a computer, please click this link to open iTunes and go directly to the app in the app store.

Follow us and get free stuff?

April 9th, 2010

Many of you may not be aware that we have a twitter account.  Please follow us (@GeekUtils).  We use this account to announce new apps and to distribute information about known outages, bugs, or updates to the app store.

When we release an app to the app store, we have a limited number of “download keys” that we can use for promotional purposes…

Starting soon, we will ask our followers to re-tweet the URL of one of our apps or a specific message to their followers to help us spread the word about our apps.  The first few to retweet the URL or message that we ask to be distributed will receive a promo code to download our latest paid app for free.

Periodically, we may also pick a random user and DM them a promo code for one of our products – this is especially true if we find out that you have told your followers about any of our paid products by @-replying our address.

What are you waiting for?  You don’t have anything to lose and you may get something for free…. give it a shot 🙂
