Update for Unofficial iJustine is coming…

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

So – many of you have seen all of our updates to our vlogger apps and have noticed or e-mailed asking where the update for Unofficial iJ is.  It’s on the way.  I submitted all of the updates at the same time, but then over the weekend I found a small bug in the iJustine blog view (the first tab in the default layout) that has been perplexing me for a little while.

Some of you have noticed that when looking at a blog entry, sometimes the content scrolls off of the right side of the page.  I have an algorithm in place that determines the size of the content and scales the view accordingly – but due to a small error on my part, it was not 100% effective, so sometimes articles still spilled over the right side of the page and required you to zoom out to see the whole content of the article.

I found the little bit of code that was incorrect, and fixed the issue.  Rather than allow the iJustine update to go through with this bug, and then submit yet another fix (Which would require that you perform two updates, and also would require Apple’s review team to go through a second submission), I decided to reject and resubmit the corrected application.

This update is in review now and will be available to you soon.  Check back to the Dev Blog (you’re reading now) and/or follow us on Twitter (@geekutils) and we’ll let you know when it’s all ready to go.  Thank you for your patience!

Several App Updates Released!

Monday, June 21st, 2010

The updates for all of our vlogger apps have been approved by Apple.  Please check the app store for updates at your earliest convenience.  The latest updates significantly enhance the way the video descriptions are rendered on the phone.  With these latest updates, “links in the underbar” now appear correctly, and are clickable!  Now, not only can you watch content from your favorite vlogger, but you can even navigate all of their links right from inside our app(s).

Also, for users of the PhillyD Official app – the Phillyd.tv web viewer now includes a back button.  This way, when you navigate to a single image or other static content – you are not “stuck” without a way to go back!

Thanks again to everyone who has contacted us with suggestions on how to improve our apps.  We hope that you enjoy these new updates.

The x.x.1 micro updates of all of our vlogger apps are now available. These updates address errors that could occur in previous versions when posting replies to comments on YouTube videos. To update, please visit the app store and check for updates.

Unofficial iJustine v1.7 Available

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

The update that we submitted to Apple last Saturday has been approved by Apple and is now available as an update in the app store.  This update corrects the URL used for iJustine’s blog so that the mobile blog view and the full website view now use ijustine.com instead of tastyblogsnack.com.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or just want to say Hi – you can contact us by using the “Contact Developer” button in the “About” page of any of our apps.  We also encourage you to frequently check the Developer Blog and More Apps views to stay up to date with our latest releases.

Also – follow us on twitter!  twitter.com/geekutils (@geekutils) – we periodically give away free download keys for any new paid apps we release, and we usually post updates as to important feature additions, bug fixes, etc.
