Many of you have asked when the Android and iPad versions of our popular apps, such as “PhillyD Official” will be released.
The short answer is: We are in the process of working on both.
The longer answer is: iPad will come before Android, simply because the iPad version of the app is a natural extension of the extensive codebase we have already developed for the iPhone versions. Android requires a complete ground-up re-write of everything that we have built so far. We have been working on the iPhone versions of these apps since November of 2009, so the complete Android rewrite will not happen overnight, but is in progress.
Timelines will heavily depend on our overall workload – but please believe me when I say that we are listening, we hear you, and we’re working as quickly as possible to bring you what you want 😉
